Our Proven Process

Step 1: Begin with a Consultation

STEP 1: We start with a free 15-minute Discovery Call—a brief, friendly conversation to learn about your estate planning needs and see if we’re the right fit to work together. During this time, I’ll listen to your goals, answer a few initial questions, and explain how our estate planning process works. If it feels like a good match, we’ll schedule your next step - the Family Wealth Counseling Session -  and I’ll send you an Estate Planning Workbook to complete before your Family Wealth Counseling Session.

If you’d like more time to talk and receive guidance tailored to your situation, we offer a one-hour Legal Consultation for a flat fee. This focused session gives you the opportunity to ask questions, gain clarity, and feel confident about the next steps that make the most sense for you—without any pressure or long-term commitment.

Step 2: Family Wealth Counseling Session

This collaborative, two-hour meeting virtually or in-person is our chance to walk through your completed Estate Planning Workbook together. We’ll talk about your assets, family relationships, risk tolerance, and how the law applies to your unique situation.

The more complete your information, the more productive and meaningful our time will be. If a team approach would be helpful, we’ll connect you with trusted referral partners who can support your specific needs.

By the end of the session, you’ll feel confident in the plan that fits your goals, and I’ll have everything needed to begin drafting your estate plan.

Step 3: Signing Ceremony

Your Signing Ceremony is a special two-hour meeting where you’ll officially sign your estate planning documents—turning your planning into peace of mind. I’ll guide you through each step so everything is clear and complete.

You can celebrate this milestone virtually from home with a traveling notary or in our cozy office conference room—the choice is yours!

The final step in your estate planning journey is receiving your completed documents and learning how to use them with confidence. During this meeting, I’ll share practical tips to ensure your plan works exactly as intended when the time comes.

Many clients find it challenging to begin estate planning conversations with loved ones and future executors. To make this easier, you’re welcome to bring a family member or executor—in person or on Zoom—so they can see the documents, ask questions, and understand their future responsibilities.

This open, supportive conversation helps ensure your plan is properly funded, clearly communicated, and easy to update over time. Clients often leave this meeting with peace of mind and a sense of relief knowing everything is in place.
