Our Proven Process

Step 1: Begin with a Consultation

STEP 1:

All consultations are conducted virtually or by phone and are designed to provide focused guidance and next steps.

Our process begins with a 30-minute Virtual Estate Planning Strategy Consult. This consult allows us to review your goals, identify key planning considerations, and determine whether our firm is the right fit for your needs.

During this meeting, I’ll explain our estate planning approach and outline what a customized plan may involve. If appropriate, we’ll schedule your Family Wealth Counseling Session, and you’ll receive an Estate Planning Workbook to complete in advance.

This consultation may be conducted virtually or in our office and is intended for clients seeking focused legal guidance outside of our standard planning process.

For more in-depth guidance, we offer a one-hour Legal Consultation offered at a structured flat fee. This consultation is designed to provide focused legal analysis, address your questions, and outline practical next steps based on your goals.

Step 2: Family Wealth Counseling Session

This collaborative, two-hour meeting virtually or in-person is our chance to walk through your completed Estate Planning Workbook together. We’ll talk about your assets, family relationships, risk tolerance, and how the law applies to your unique situation.

The more complete your information, the more productive and meaningful our time will be. If a team approach would be helpful, we’ll connect you with trusted referral partners who can support your specific needs.

By the end of the session, you’ll feel confident in the plan that fits your goals, and I’ll have everything needed to begin drafting your estate plan.

Step 3: Signing Ceremony

Your Signing Ceremony is a special two-hour meeting where you’ll officially sign your estate planning documents—turning your planning into peace of mind. I’ll guide you through each step so everything is clear and complete.

You can celebrate this milestone virtually from home with a traveling notary or in our cozy office conference room—the choice is yours!

The final step in your estate planning journey is receiving your completed documents and learning how to use them with confidence. During this meeting, I’ll share practical tips to ensure your plan works exactly as intended when the time comes.

Many clients find it challenging to begin estate planning conversations with loved ones and future executors. To make this easier, you’re welcome to bring a family member or executor—in person or on Zoom—so they can see the documents, ask questions, and understand their future responsibilities.

This open, supportive conversation helps ensure your plan is properly funded, clearly communicated, and easy to update over time. Clients often leave this meeting with peace of mind and a sense of relief knowing everything is in place.
